Staff

NOARC/CÉRNO's in-house staff works from a suite of offices located in Cambrian College, Sudbury, Ontario. Currently, our staffing is as follows:

Susan Alcorn MacKaySusan Alcorn MacKay, M. Ed. – Director

Susan provides the overall direction for the consortium and liaises with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.  She is a member of the Provincial Committee on Disability Issues, the Canadian Association of Disability Service Providers in Postsecondary Education and the College Committee on Disability Issues.

Alana Holmes Ph.D., C. Psych. – Psychologist and Manager

Dr. Holmes provides psychological assessments and consultations, liaises with consortium managers concerning NOARC/CÉRNO's mandate, determines research initiatives and collaborates in their completion and publication. She is also responsible for day-to-day supervision and management of NOARC/CÉRNO including: quality assurance reviews, professional development activities for registered psychological practitioners, and supervision and training of staff and interns.

Robert Silvestri, Ph.D. – Lead Researcher

Robert is involved in the development, implementation, and analyses phases of applied research conducted at NOARC/CÉRNO and supervision of staff assisting with such projects.  In addition to his research duties, Robert is responsible for the review of all referrals received by NOARC/CÉRNO and consulting with disability staff on referral protocol.  Robert also provides psychometric assistance to registered practitioners in the community’s serviced by NOARC/CÉRNO.

Nathan French, M.A. - Coordinator, Research & Data

Nathan acts as a support in the management of the daily operations of NOARC/CÉRNO. He is directly responsible for developing and managing the referral, research and financial databases. As well, he designs and maintains NOARC/CÉRNO's website and provides psychometric support to psychological practitioners as required.

Kevin Farnan, M. A. - Psychometric Technician

Kevin is a bilingual Psychometric Technician whose responsibilities include:  administering and scoring psychometric tests on behalf of registered psychological practitioners, database entry, helping to examine the latest psychometric tests to determine their usefulness in assessments of LD at the post-secondary level, translating documents into or from French, and assisting with various research initiatives. He is also the on-line course administrator for the most recent French language assessment tools: the WAIS-IIICND-F, WIAT-IICDN-F and WISC-IVCND-F. Training Opportunities

Krystel Lapalme - Secretary

Krystel, as NOARC/CÉRNO's secretary, is the first point of contact for inquiries pertaining to our services.  She provides secretarial and scheduling support to in-house staff, external practitioners and the numerous consortium offices.  Krystel is also responsible for processing all incoming referrals and maintaining completed and secure files.

Dawn Morin, Dip. C.S., C. Psych. Assoc. - Psychological Associate

Dawn is a part-time practitioner who conducts psychological assessments to students referred by our college and university consortium partners.  She works primarily in the community of Sudbury, but also provides assessment support in other areas as required.

Contributing Psychologists and Psychological Associates

The psycho-educational assessments completed through NOARC/CÉRNO are conducted by Psychologists (C. Psych.) or Psychological Associates (Psych. Assoc.) registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.  NOARC/CÉRNO has a roster of Psychologists and Psychological Associates located across northern Ontario whose members perform this work individually or with the assistance of psychometric staff:
