After much consideration and consultation with various conference participants, we have made the decision to hold the HIDC virtually with no in-person offerings.  Many speakers and attendees are reluctant to commit to attending the conference in person given the uncertainty around the Covid-19 pandemic.  The virtual format will provide us with the opportunity to reach more people and to have greater diversity in speakers from around the world.

Given the change in delivery format, we would like to re-open our Call For Proposals. The ARC’s are seeking proposals from multiple sectors (secondary, post-secondary, psychological service providers, medical and therapeutic providers, mental health agencies, accessibility service providers, policymakers etc.) with the aim of fully representing the transition to and life in post-secondary for students with disabilities.  As such, please feel free to distribute the information far and wide.

For those interested in submitting a proposal, it needs to be submitted directly to the website under the “Call for Proposals” section of the website https://on.conferize.com/hidc/2022.  You will then be taken to the Tickets section where you need to click the toggle to choose 1 ticket and then complete your proposal (this is not the registration process and does not cost anything).   PLEASE NOTE the form times out after 25 minutes, so we recommend completing the requirements in Word or a word processing program first and then transferring the information to the site form.  All of the requirements can be found in the “Call for Proposals” Flyer (attached). Proposals will be due by midnight Wednesday, December 1, 2021, and successful presenters will be notified by Friday, December 10, 2021. 

We would also like to ask for confirmation (from anyone who has already submitted a proposal) that you are still willing to present in a virtual environment.  Could you please e-mail me at this address to confirm?

Conference registration will begin at midnight on Monday, December 13, 2021– the early bird rate will be available at that time.
